Professional Experience:

Mr. Jim Rizk is the founder and owner of OHC Environmental Engineering, Inc.  Founded 19 years ago as Occupational Health and Conservation, Inc., Mr. Rizk began doing business as OHC Environmental Engineering in 1997.  He officially changed the name to reflect the expanding work in environmental assessments, fuel tank removals, environmental compliance audits and groundwater remediation.

Mr. Rizk has extensive OSHA training at the OSHA Institute on interpretation of standards.  He has over 24-years experience designing, managing and supervising various aspects of environmental contamination assessment and remediation.  He developed compliance programs for large facilities including: Honeywell, Tropicana, Jacksonville Electric Authority, Johnson and Johnson and Hillsborough County Public Schools.  In addition, he audited existing programs for CF Industries and Paradyne.  Mr. Rizk is an EPA accredited asbestos instructor and EPA accredited lead inspector and risk assessor.

Mr. Rizk has expanded into the environmental arena.  He has expertise in assessment, hazardous materials, and remediation activities.  He has developed safety and health plans and quality control plans for hazardous waste cleanups meeting DOT and military specifications.  He was responsible for developing remediation plans for the cleanup of chromates, acids, pesticides, lead, PCB's mercury and arsenic at contaminated sites.  He also developed action levels for exposure and air monitoring plans to assess employee exposure levels.

Mr. Rizk has completed many indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations and managed several teams involved in comprehensive IAQ studies.  He conducted a study of Legionella outbreak at the Pinellas County Courthouse to identify and track all the sources of contamination at the courthouse and the adjacent prison.  He also conducted a variety of studies for school boards involving biological amplification and supervised the remediation activities.  He resolved one of the first outbreaks of dust mites in the office environment leading to a general awareness of the potential hazards associated with these creatures in the workplace.

Mr. Rizk is fully certified by EPA in all aspects of lead consulting activities and he developed numerous lead safety and health plans and awareness training for shipyards, power generating stations, military and industrial facilities.
