Background:

Michael Lawn has thirty-eight years of comprehensive architectural and real estate development experience.  He is also an experienced project manager. 

Experience: 

Mr. Lawn is licensed in three states as an Architect and holds a National Council of Architecture Registration Board (NCARB) Certificate.  He is licensed and registered in the State of Florida as an Architect and Asbestos Consultant.  He is an EPA asbestos accredited instructor for all the asbestos courses.

Mr. Lawn’s professional experience includes over twenty-five years of comprehensive architectural and real estate development services as a responsible employee, associate, partner and principal.  His first encounter with asbestos and its abatement came as a rehabilitation architect and developer in New York City in 1980.  Upon relocating to Florida in 1988, he was able to immediately obtain his Florida architectural license based on his NCARB file and he obtained his Florida Asbestos Consultant license in 1990.

Mr. Lawn has extensive experience in rehab construction, which has lead to his expertise in the control of asbestos and lead-based paint materials.  His primary responsibilities are in the preparation of operations and maintenance programs, abatement work plans and specifications and in overall abatement project contract administration for asbestos, lead-based paint and project demolition.

Mr. Lawn’s asbestos expertise encompasses hands-on and oversight experience in all areas of asbestos consulting including survey and inspections, operations and maintenance (O & M) plans, abatement plans and specifications, air monitoring and project supervision.  Projects include single and multi-family housing, public schools, community colleges, health care facilities, power plants, water utility facilities, military bases, retail stores and shopping malls, supermarkets, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.  He has designed several large and complex projects for the abatement of lead and asbestos for public and private sectors, including historical facilities.

Reports:

Numerous asbestos abatement reports for a variety of clients spanning the private,
local government and Federal sector.

Mr. Lawn serves as the technical editor for all OHC Environmental Engineering, Inc.
asbestos and lead reports.
