He has participated in the design, production and construction management of most types of projects from private residences to large scale master plans. His experience includes client contact and negotiations, programming, master planning, schematic studies, preliminary sketches, interior layouts, design presentations, supervision and preparation of contract documents, field supervision, construction contract negotiations, mediation and arbitration, environmental audits, lease negotiations, preparation of real estate pro-formas, property management, cooperative and condominium offering plans, real estate syndication, partnership organization and management.

 

Cecil Field Base Closure, Jacksonville, Florida

As Project Architect, Mr. Lawn developed all the specifications for the removal of any hazardous and regulated materials from the buildings and the specification for the demolition of the buildings. He prepared cost estimation for the abatement and demolition activities, pre-qualified the abatement contractors bidding on the job, and conducted the pre-bid meetings and site visits.  He conducted several meetings with the community development group and developers to coordinate timelines for demolition and redevelopment and ensure that the project was completed in the most efficient and appropriate manner. Estimated Value- $350,000.00

Naval Air Station- Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Florida

Mr. Lawn is the Project Designer responsible for preparation of all the specifications and CADD drawings for Asbestos and Lead Abatement in accordance with Sections 13280A and 028233.1320 for Asbestos and Lead respectively.  He works closely with the ROICC officer and Public Works Department to develop the logistics of the abatement activities.  In addition, he prepares cost estimation for the abatement.  Mr. Lawn assists in the review of the contractor’s hazard abatement plans and provides recommendations for alternative work practices.  Estimated Value:  $2,000,000.00

Environmental Consulting Services, Sarasota County School Board, Sarasota, Florida

Mr. Lawn is the Project Designer responsible for the revision of the O&M plans for all the schools and the preparation of asbestos abatement specifications. He works closely with the Construction Department to develop the logistics of the project and design the abatement projects prior to renovation and demolition of the buildings.

Asbestos and Lead Consulting Services, Progress Energy

Florida, North and South Carolina

Mr. Lawn assisted with quality control of asbestos surveys for all Progress Energy buildings. He also developed Operation and Maintenance Plans for asbestos management in place for 450 buildings.  He developed the specifications for the removal of asbestos containing material prior to renovation and demolition.  Cost $650,000

Environmental Consulting Services, Manatee County School Board, Bradenton, Florida

Mr. Lawn is the Project Designer responsible for the design and CADD drawings of all the specifications developed for the School Board in preparation of renovation and demolition of buildings. He updated the management plans for all the schools that contain ACBM.

School District of Osceola County, Florida

Mr. Lawn is the Project Designer responsible for the design and CADD drawings of the specifications developed for the School Board in preparation of renovation and demolition of Osceola and St. Cloud High Schools.

James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, Florida

Mr. Lawn is the Project Designer responsible for the design and CADD drawings of the specifications developed for asbestos abatement on several major hospital renovation  projects including the OR suite, the Pharmacy, several Patient Room Wings, and the Boiler Plant. He works closely with the Construction Department in developing the logistics of the project and designing the abatement projects prior to renovation of the hospital buildings.

Hillsborough County Courthouse, Tampa, Florida

Mr. Lawn is the Project Designer responsible for the design and CADD drawings of the specifications developed for asbestos abatement of major portions of the Courthouse. He worked closely with OHC’s Project Manager in coordination with the owner and contractor in regard to project phasing and security.

Mr. Lawn has been the Project Designer responsible for the preparation of over a hundred Asbestos O&M plans and Asbestos Abatement Specifications for schools, colleges and universities, federal, state and county government buildings, military bases, power plants, hospitals, residential complexes, and hotels.
