Lead Surveys
OHC is responsible for site and facility surveys, or verify existing
surveys, prior to acquisition, renovation or demolition, remediation design,
contract administration, and construction supervision and monitoring. OHC
has also acted as the construction manager on several projects, as a turn
key operation for the remediation contractor. In addition, due to our
capabilities, several clients have elected to turn over the management of
the operation and maintenance program. We are able to enter their data into
our computerized database to track their re-inspections and periodic
training. We pride ourselves on providing the best client services in a cost
efficient manner which has led to our excellent reputation and consistent
client satisfaction.
OHC has always utilized state-of-the-art techniques and procedures to
identify, assess and analyze for lead. Additionally, OHC utilizes only AIHA
and ELPAT-accredited laboratories for all sample analysis. Schneider
Laboratories was the first ELPAT-accredited lab in the United States and we
have been using them since its accreditation. OHC makes use of the XRF
instrument in the field to measure for lead-based paint and follows these
results up by bulk sample analysis when necessary, through Schneider
Laboratories. All lead results can be made available within 24-hours of
collection. OHC follows a stringent quality control program established by
our CIH, for all sample collection and analysis.
The Manatee County Government will benefit from dealing directly with OHC's
key staff located in Tampa, Florida area, along with our Certified
Industrial Hygienist and Registered Architect, also located in the Tampa
Office. The experience of the key staff have proven to be invaluable to our
clients in the past when unexpected emergencies arise that require expertise
beyond the field staff capabilities. OHC prides itself on designing projects
in a most cost efficient manner and always looking after the best interests
of our clients to establish long-term relationships.
All of our lead surveys are performed in accordance with EPA and HUD
guidelines. Final information is delivered in a summary report which lists
all areas containing lead in a very concise manner, including all laboratory
documentation to substantiate our findings. Our reports are very
comprehensive and can be utilized to determine practical follow-up courses
of action for abatement or an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plan, or
a combination of both. Recommendations are stated in the report along with
cost estimations for mitigation purposes as required.
